Location
Villa Ofir is located in the natural area of Ofir, near a small town called Fão, on Portugal's Northwest coast. Backed by pine forest and dunes, facing the Atlantic. See the map for the exact pin ->
The nearest village is a 15 minute walk/8 minute bike ride away, the airport is an easy drive, and the kite spot is just three minutes from your front door.
It's far enough from everything to feel like a proper escape, but close enough to everything you actually need.
The Kitesurf spots
Ofir beach
3 min walk
Your home break. A wide, open beach with plenty of space, right in front of the villa. For a quick session between meetings, you won't need to go anywhere else.
Esposende lagoon
10 min walk
Our local favourite, a flat water lagoon. Watch the conditions from the terrace. A short walk over the dunes and you're there. Best júst after high tide.
Viana do Castelo
30 min by car
Worth the drive when the swell is up. A more powerful spot with beautiful waves. Ideal for wave kiting or when you want something different.

Seven ensuite bedrooms. One great house. Enough space to have your own, enough togetherness to make it count.
Villa Ofir is a spacious, well-designed home with everything you need for a proper kite trip. A big shared living room to decompress after sessions, a fully equipped kitchen for those evenings when someone decides to cook for the group, and a mega terrace overlooking the river, where most mornings start with coffee and a wind check.
The garden runs down to the river. There's a solarium for a lounge moment, yoga mats for the mornings, and an outdoor shower for coming back off the water.

By plane
Porto Airport (OPO) is the closest, about 35 minutes by car, with daily flights from most EU cities.
By car
The villa has some parking on site, please request parking when booking. In the area there are a few more places to park, but not a lot, due to the natural environment.
Kite + Surf gear
Bringing your own is easiest. We have some rental & test material available on site. Send us a message, we'll give you the latest gear updates.
Surfboard rentals starting from €3 per day.
F.A.Q.
Do I get my own room?
You can choose. Private rooms are ensuite and fully yours. Shared rooms are also ensuite, you share the space with one other person (same gender). Both options give you access to all shared spaces in the villa.
Is the crew from The KiteCollectiv there?
Yes, there is always one of us on site. Who depends on the week.
Is there food nearby?
In Ofir & Fão, there are some options at a walking distance. In Esposende there are a lot of nice restaurants with a variety of kitchens. Most guests mix cooking at the house with eating out.
Can I rent gear nearby?
Yes, we usually have some rental options on site and otherwise we can hook you up with a centre nearby. Just send us a message!
Is there good Wi-Fi for working?
Yes. There's a comfortable workspace with pretty decent Wi-Fi. Plenty of people here work daily, it's part of how the place runs.
BUT: the house is basically 'on an island' so it has it's moments. Best is to make a quick coffee and all should be back to normal soon.
